You may want to plan a little extra time to take a tour of the dam, or you can rent a raft from any one of several local vendors and run the Green River. The fly fishing in the area is fabulous, and world record Lake Trout have come from the waters of the Flaming Gorge reservoir. To log this one you'll just have to e-mail me the answers to the following questions: 1. What President activated the hydro-electric generators? 2. Which First Lady dedicated the dam? 3. As you leave the visitor's center and walk towards the parking lot there are five placards with information about the area on them. According to the placards, what bird skydives for fish? |

Early Sunday morning in early October while out on a vacation. We drove up in the dark rain in the morning to arrive at Flaming Gorge in daylight - albeit with clouds and drizzle. Thanks for the cache.
