Habitat for Humanity

OUR GOAL:

A decent house in a decent community for God’s people in need.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY of the Eastern Bighorn is one of hundreds of local Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout the world. Habitat for Humanity brings together people from all walks of life who work in partnership to serve God by serving God’s people in need. It is through the prayers and efforts of hundreds of people that an affiliate is formed, that money is raised, that volunteers come forward, and that houses are built.

The Buffalo Chapter of Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns has been working since 2000 for these homes to be built in Buffalo. The first home is being built by the Construction Technology class of Buffalo High School.

House Progress: Based on the estimates made in 2003, we raised the money needed to complete Buffalo’s first Habitat house. However, the rising cost of building materials has exceeded the original estimates.

In order to finish the house for the Caro family and to implement our goal of beginning a second house in September 2004, we need to raise additional monies and man power.

This is a great ministry for our local area! All gifts are tax deductible!

Monthly Board Meetings: 6:00 PM, 2nd Thursday of each month. Everyone is invited.
