PURPOSE
The purposes of the WSSA are to protect and defend
the United States Constitution and the inalienable
rights of the
American citizens to own, possess and use firearms for legitimate
purposes. Also to promote
public safety, law and order and the
national defense, to educate and train citizens of good repute in the
safe
and efficient use of small arms, and to promote sportsmanship
and wise use of ntural and renewal wildlife
resources.

Greetings and thank you for inquiring about Wyoming State Shooting Association!
All Wyoming gun owners need both the NRA and the WSSA
to help defend the
right to own a firearm for legitimate use and
without undue restriction.
The purposes of the Wyoming State Shooting
Association are to protect and

Constitution and the inalienable rights of American citizens to
own,
possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes. Also, to promote
public safety,
law and order, and the national defense, to educate
and train citizens of good repute in the
safe and efficient use of
small arms; to promote sportsmanship and wise use of natural
and
renewable wildlife resources.
W.S.S.A. is affiliated with the National Rifle
Association and serves as the 'state'
arm for the NRA. It is also
affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program and
maintains a
membership with USA Shooting (the national governing body of
Olympic
shooting sports).
The Wyoming State Constitution, Article 1, Section 24
states " The right of the
citizens to bear arms in defense of
themselves and of the state shall not be denied."
At present there are 16 clubs in Wyoming that have
club memberships with
WSSA. These are spread through out the
state.
Membership dues are only $15 yearly, $40 for 3 years,
$50 for 5 years and $100
for a life time. Club memberships are $20
yearly, $50 for 3 years and $80 for 5 years.
The WSSA sends out newsletters each quarter and
attempts to keep the
membership informed about the pertinent
issues concerning firearms ownership, training
and competitions.
