This is a cache dedicated to our departed dog DaKota. He was a loving but fearless 5 lb bundle of joy. This beach that we placed the cache on, was named by us, after he tried to jump out of our raft and swim to shore here when he spotted a springer spaniel on the beach while his owner was pulled in for fishing. We had him on a leash and pulled him back in, but to our family this beach will be forever known as DaKota Beach in his memory. DaKota was taken from us way too soon, at only 3 1/2 years old. We place this cache in his memory. Note: You will lose satellite conectivity as you approach the cliff once you are on the beach. Use the hint to find the cache. Please replace as you found it to avoid it being muggled. The cache is an ammo can painted to match the surrounding rock. Original contents include: Pocket Knife First Aid Kit Flashlight with batteries 2 sets of tweezers Playing cards Sun Block Sewing Kit 10X magnifing glass 2 emergency blankets Keyring flashlight Compass keyring 2 Level keyrings 2 snap lights Whistle wristband keyring 2 hand warmers A pink Poodle (Dakota was a red poodle) Logbook and pencils Congratulations to Acwentz for the FTF!!! Please no geo-trash in this cache. Checked and restocked cache on July 16th 2007. Cache is in good shape and stocked to the brim! |

Have been in the Flaming Gorge area where we are participating in a family reunion and celebrating Papa Dikini's parent's 50th wedding anniversary.
Found this cache during our family float down the Green River to Little Hole. Someone had left some food in the cache so we removed it; other than that TNLNSL.
Sorry to read about DaKota. Our dog jumped in near Little Hole a couple of years ago but we were able to pull her out safely.
Hints (Back)
It is on the beach level, behind a large arrowhead shaped rock that points to the south. If you look at Chewee's picture in the gallery, the rock behind him that has the word 'BEACH' on it is a great place to start looking!!
