Take the Cruel Jacks exit and turn left. Go over bridge turn left again. Approx. 4 MI. down the old highway leading back to G.R. Park on road between R.S. groundwater site #6 and sister site to the south. West side. Terrain is rugged. High difficulty, Strenuous. Altitude at cache is 6952, altitude at MD 20/20 is 7096.

Multi-leg cache. First find Madd Dog 20/20 (old wine bottle) to get directions to main cache. Cache is in a green ammo box. It took me nearly 3 hours to place both the MD 20/20 bottle and cache including 30 minutes of exploring the area, then get back to truck. You should be in good shape for this one. Allow yourself plenty of time. Windy, hard and soft shell, steep grade, 3 and 4 point climbing required. Please wear sturdy boots. Take cell phone and emergency supplies. You will need to side hill also if you so desire.

Original contents: clip key chain, tic tacs, small screw driver set, camera to take pics(put back in cache), water tight matchbox, 'Thill' balsa float, silver and yellowmay fishing flies, football cards, safety whistle, toy soldier, waterproof matches, fire starter sticks, matchbox car, small candle.
Four wheelers N.N.A. at least not at MD or cache, and if you think that starting from atop White Mtn. would be easier, then think again! Also there is quite a few small birds and possibly some small rattlers in the area.

P.S. This is a challenging cache. You need some good will power and good balance. Please take your time and enjoy. Oh, also down towards the base of the first foothill you'll pass over the White Mtn. mountain bike trail.

I unexpectantly had the time to go get this one today. We were to be in Jackson today, but that did not work out. Grandma was in town to help with the little one, so off I went on this afternoon journey. I took me 2 1/2 hours to get there and back from my house in Rock Springs. I parked to the SW just under a mile away along a utility road and walked about 2.65 miles total to the caches & back in around an hour and 40 minutes. It was warm, but not hot this late summer afternoon in the 70's. I walked along a wash until I decided to go straight up diagonally mostly. I kept my elevation gain to the first and then realized I walked within a few feet of the final cache on the initial trek over. Too bad I was not looking out for a cache along the way. I had the place to myself of course. This is what caching is about getting out in the open country looking for an object in the great outdoors. This was to be my 1000th WYOMING CACHE, but I got that over a week ago as I was on the road trip hunt and could just not stop. So this becomes my Wyoming cache #1038 and overall cache #3745. Thanks for the exercise and hide. I took pictures.

What a hike. I agree with the other cachers who have found this cache. This is a tough one. It and New Year 07 (The Twin Chimneys) are real heart beat raisers. First leg was the toughest. I'm a miner had to try the big hole. Those who have been there will know what I mean. Glad it was cool this morning. Great area and cache. TFTC LN/took a picture.BumpgasBigSmile

Way to go Coyote Ugly...this has got to be the longest & most strenuous hike I've done yet on any cache! Yes, three hours is a good figure to give yourself for a total time for this one. I rode my motorcycle up the old highway from Green River & caught the white mountain bike trail until I had to climb higher. Got within .41 mile at the same elevation as the first cache & hiked in from there. Once I got to the cache & sat down on the rock to enter the next coordinates I noticed a big fat mouse not two feet away from my head just staring at me..hungry I suppose. I sidehilled just a bit too low to the last cache & had to four point climb to get to the same level as the cache. went right to both of these. Took a picture of me & signed the logbook. Then, the hike back to the motorbike...aiecarramba! Good thing I came prepared with LOTS of water, course I was wearing full body armor for the ride. Love the area...glad I'm not the one who has to maintain this one! (HeeHee)also, no snakes sighted anywhere although I did scare up a big deer in the ravine just below the caches. TFTC! Wliedtke

Great work-out today. It took me 3 hours to run the course. I approached the first cache from the due west of cache 1 and was a distance of .4 as the crow flies. The elevation changes were drastic and the sidehilling was pretty steep. For you younger and more fit cachers, this will be a walk in the park. Maybe. You can't beat the location of the two caches. Welcome to wide open Wyoming. Came upon two pygmy rattlesnakes. Played with one with my walking stick, until I thought it was best to leave it alone. The second was trying to get warm in the cold breeze and was across the trail, made a slight detour. It you leave them alone, they will leave you alone. Just keep an eye out for them. Best Cache I have done so far or at least I will remember. Take plenty of water and be prepared for sudden weather changes. Happy trails.
