Locate the point where Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming meet.

Stand in three states at once! To do this, find this tri-state marker located at the exact point where Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming meet. The actual tri-state marker is a brass disk, similar to an NGS benchmark, embedded in a concrete monument. This brass disk and concrete pedestal, along with three flagpoles, are located within a fenced enclosure that you can enter via a turnstile. Just inside the fenced enclosure is a large billboard-like sign.

While you can drive right up to this location, I have rated the terrain at "2" because I recommend driving a 4WD or high-clearance vehicle. This cache is located in a very remote area, and the roads may be impassible during bad weather, when muddy or when covered with snow. Make sure your vehicle is in good operating condition and you have plenty of fuel and good tires.

In order to successfully claim this cache, read the text on the sign and answer the following questions, and e-mail the answers to me at Ken@Highpointer.com:

1) Who was the surveyor who monumented this point on July 19, 1879?

2) Who was the surveyor who determined the boundary line separating Wyoming Territory from Colorado and Utah Territories in 1873?

3) Who was the engineer who seated the brass tablet in the concrete monument in 1931?

4) What two service organizations erected this historical tri-state marker in cooperation with the BLM, and what date did they dedicate this sign?

Please don't post the answers here, even if encrypted. If you like, take and upload a picture of you and your team at the actual tri-state marker, but do not upload any pictures that contain answers to the questions above.
