We saw moose and deer and hawks, Hummingbirds virtually in flocks. Camping spots abound along the way If you decide you want to stay. Within a 30-mile radius are For your delight (if you have a car), Several caches from which to choose. Don't forget to bring the clues.
Now to prove that you were there, A National Parks fee may apply - $2.00 for a day pass or $5.00 for up to 16 days if you plan to camp. Outline your plans at the Ranger Station at Manila or Vernal and they can advise you if you need to pay. The fee paid at Manila stays right there locally for funding of the very park you will visit. It's been years since I have been up to this area. Thanks for a v-cache to bring me back. Saw a couple of bull moose just walking next to the road. I got out of my jeep and they did not even run. I watched them for a good 15 minutes. It was awesome!! Just like the views from here.
