You can drive pretty close to this cache, but you might need a high profile. You can park right off of the paved road below the cache and hike about 400' to it through the brush. Watch for heavy truck traffic on Quealy Rd.!!! Do park way off of the road if you like your ride! Many trucks and many blind corners.

Quealy was a coal camp and a series of coal mines that closed in the mid 20th century. You can't see the ruins of the town from the cache site, but you can see the Monsanto Coal Calciner . Better known as the "Coke Plant". The coke plant calcines coal into coke. Which is commonly used in the making of steel, but in this case it is used for somthing different. It is a small plant with a small work force which is why not even many locals know what it is and mistake it it for a trona plant. Cache container is a lab sample can from the plant.

Found this one after the event. Great place for a cache. Thanks for the fun. Looks like a trona mine to me. just kidding. Nice hike up to the hide and a great location for a good view.
