Another back-road cache. At one of Sweetater County's coal camp towns. My wife's(Lou)father was raised in Winton. His sisters nick-named him Buster after the actor Buster Keeton. They thought he looked like the actor and this is where he lived until he was 14. Thus the name. We've had great times with him visiting here and listening to his memories. He can still tell you where everbody lived. The cache is near the #1 Mine entrance and hoist house. His home was about .1 mile down the hill. A car will get within about .16 mile of the cache. Pick-up about 60yds. While at the cache take time to enjoy this piece of Wyoming history! |

Nice view, boring 'town'. The Buick stopped once I found pavement again and kissed the ground...weirdest thing I have ever seen!
Anyway, TFTC!! Found all three with my little brother Jowy20

Spent a little bit of time out here lately and realized there was a cache sitting right under my nose. Really enjoy this sort of place for a cache. Wish I could have seen Winton in its hayday. TFTC! Took 2Knightriders coin, left little truck.
