1. Wyoming Suicide Prevention Task Force- The Coroner's Office is involved with a team of proffessionals and voluteers who are working in Fremont County and the State to promote understanding and prevention of suicide in our communities.  Suicide ranks as the 2nd leading cause of death for adolescents and the third leading cause of death for young Wyoming adults.  Wyoming's overall suicide rate is 66% higher than the national average.  Prevention of unnecessary deaths is a prime focus of the efforts of the Coroner's office, and for more information, contact the Coroner's Office, and visit the links page on this site.

2. Child Fatality Review Team - a committee of Fremont County professionals and citizens that meets quarterly to review all deaths that occur to individuals under the age of 18.

3. Internship Program - An on-going program designed to give students studying in forensics and related fields, a working practical, technical, and educational opportunity through the Coroner's Office.

4. Education - In addition to the classes listed on the site, the Office is continuing to be involved in other awareness and prevention programs through local schools, organizations and institutions. A variety of programs and topics are available, and can be tailored to most any age group or situation. Contact the Coroner's office for more information and availability.
