Wind River with the Big Horns 60
miles North West An interesting effect of the river bottom is when the wind is just right out of the south or south west. A vortex rotor is created in the 500 foot deep valley. This rotor has 100 to 200 foot per minute updraft just over the river. FLY FOR FREE!! Just idle down and surf the wave. You can catch it at about 350' AGL and ride it to over 600' for 5 or 6 miles. |
